"At Small Point Baptist Church, we are devoted to making disciples who love God, love each other, and love the world around them by living out the Truths of God's Word in our speech, in our conduct, in our faith, and in our purity. To do "Nothing without Love" and make disciples, teaching and equipping them to do the work of the Lord as they give their lives as living sacrifices, their spiritual act of worship."

Our Purpose

The ministry of Small Point Baptist Church exists to come alongside individuals and families and equip them to grow as functioning members of the body of Christ. We want to introduce unbelievers to Christ (Matt. 28:19-20), help them to cultivate lasting relationships with Christ (Matt. 28:19-20), instill a deep desire to worship God (1 Tim. 4:12) and to fulfill our commission by God as an individual, and as part of the body of Christ (Acts 1:8).

"Our Beiliefs"

We Believe:

I. Scripture- We believe the Bible is the inspired words of God (I Tim. 3:16, 2 Pet. 1:21, I Cor. 2:13), and are the only sufficient, certain and authoritative rule of all saving knowledge, faith, and obedience.

II. God - There is but one God, the Maker, Creator, Preserver and Ruler of all things, having in and of Himself all perfection, and being infinite in them all; and to Him all creatures give the highest love, reverence, and obedience.

III. Jesus - We believe Jesus is the one and only Son of God, born of a virgin, living a perfect life, dying a death undeserved, and resurrecting from the dead to give victory over death to all that believe on His name (John 3:16, Is. 53:7-8, I Jn. 5:11-15, I Cor. 15). There is no other name by which one can be saved.

IV. Holy Spirit- We believe the Holy Spirit is our guide here on earth, to lead us to better understand and comprehend God's Word. He is our comforter promised by Christ (Jn.14:15,26) who lives in us.

V. Trinity - We believe that God is one and three in the same. He is God the Father (In Heaven), God the Son (Jesus: God living among us), and God the Holy Spirit (God living in us). Each is revealed with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence or being.

VI. Salvation - We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ only plus or minus nothing (Eph. 2:8-9; John 3:16, Rom 10:9,13). It is believing Jesus is the full payment for sins. It is receiving what I do not deserve (God's Grace), and not getting what I do deserve (God's judgment by His Mercy) because of Christ. I am Justified before God once for all in Christ (Rom. 3:21-26, 6:1-14). Sanctification is the daily process of salvation in which our lives are changed and conformed to the image of Christ.

VII. Man - God originally created man in His own image, and free from sin; but, through the temptation of Satan, he broke the command of God, and fell from his original holiness and righteousness; whereby his fallen nature, corrupt and wholly opposed to God and His law, are under condemnation.

VIII. The Church - The church consists of all those who have professed Christ as their Savior. He is the head of the Church and we are His servants committed to fulfilling the purposes of His church. God has given a specific set of officers to oversee His church until His return, the Bishop/Elder (Pastor) and the Deacon body. The church has been given two Ordinances to do without reservation: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is the outward publication of an inward change. The Lord's Supper is to be observed regularly as a reminder of all that Christ did for us on the Cross.

IX. Rapture - We believe Jesus is returning for His church, the body of Christ, in a time we do not know (Matt 24:44). He will come to take us to the place He has prepared for us in Heaven(Jn 14:1-3).
